Albert’s Hideaway

Built-up area: 460 sf (1 bed, 1 bath)

This project transformed a dusty attic into a bright, functional retreat for a growing teenager. The family of five needed more space, especially as the two boys were outgrowing their shared bedroom. By reorganizing the existing attic, we created a private suite for Albert—including a bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet, and study nook—while still preserving room for storage and mechanical equipment. The design uses playful, budget-conscious touches like rope handrails and bold colors chosen by Albert himself. We also added a window and skylights to bring natural light into every part of the new space. Our team served as both architect and builder for this project.
